Pete Rosa, DPI 4/10/67-2/10/69, Badge #1250, Director of Software Development '67-'68 National Sales Manager '68-'69
Deceased 1997 in Damariscotta, ME

Pete was another of the GE Computer Dept importees with experience on the GE Datanet-30 Communication Processor. He was a
Field SE for GE but was hired by Don Birmingham to be Director of Software Development at DPI. Give Pete the credit for building the
nucleus of a strong Software Group. Some of his hires were Paul Boltauzer, Billy Goodner, and Chuck From among others. It was Pete who named the
DPI software DCOS for Data Collection Operating System and the Application Software AIDE - not an acronym but as Webster defined the
word in the dictionary.
When Bob Stender, President, wanted a strong and dynamic personality for the Sales Force, he named Pete as National Sales Manager.
Sometime in the late '70s Pete and his wife Annie were on vacation, drove into Damariscotta, ME and decided they wanted to live there. They
immediately checked into a business to set up and a place to live. And there they stayed. (per Bob Brash)
