DPI AREA SEPTEMBER 2000

A PICTURE TOUR
by
GEORGE RICHARDSON
I spent a little time wandering around 'the area' last Saturday. It's funny, I work less than a mile from there, but I never go by that way.
After having lunch with Clyde Blanchard last week and being disappointed for the second time as one of our old favorite places for lunch had gone out of business, I decided that this area is changing too fast, and needs to be preserved photographically. I decided to spend some time recording those changes.

If anyone has any photo requests and I can do them, send an email to georich1@pacbell.net

As you look south from 101 down Mathilda Ave, remember the sequence -
on the left, Denny's (old timers remember it as Sambo's), a Shell station, a farmer's field full of tomatoes, the Dairy Belle, a filling station and San Aleso Ave (where the traffic light can be seen now) and on the right was the Bold Knight.
